Hey Lake Fam! Can you believe it? Wednesday Feb 25th, 2026 marks our first birthday here at Lakeside Vibe, and what a wild, wonderful ride it’s been. From the very first spin on that old stream setup to now reaching listeners across Georgia and beyond, this past year has been full of late nights tweaking playlists, learning every tech glitch in the book, and watching the community grow one song request at a time. We started as a small dockside dream—playing the perfect mix of Dock Rock for boaters, families, and anyone craving that golden-hour groove—and look at us now: stronger, smoother, and more fun than ever.

This year we leveled up big time. As you can see, we built a brand-new website from the ground up!  (scroll around if you haven’t!), launched our own mobile app for both Apple and Android so you can take the vibes with you on the water, got our Alexa skill rocking (“Alexa, play Lakeside Vibe radio”), and proudly joined the TuneIn lineup so more folks can discover us wherever they stream. We added real-deal DJ bios (shoutout to Beth on a Boat, Summer Brooks, Jordan Bay, Alex Rivera, and the whole crew), rolled out supporter tiers (Boat Passenger, Co-Pilot, Captain—thank you for keeping us afloat!), and watched listener interaction explode with likes, dedications, and charts. Every challenge, every DNS headache, every late-night fix—it all led to this: a station that truly feels like home on the lake.

And because birthdays aren’t just one day anymore (LOL—who has time for that?), we’re celebrating all week long! Kicking things off is our brand-new daily feature: Funk at 5, airing every day at 5pm sharp. Three straight funky bangers from the ’70s and early ’80s—Superstition, Brick House, Jungle Boogie, Let It Whip, and plenty more—to get you grooving right as the sun starts to dip. It’s the perfect golden-hour lift, blending those massive mainstream hits with some hidden-gem discoveries you’ll be glad you heard.

Here’s to year one on the water—and to many more years of riding the waves, rocking the dock, and keeping the music flowing. Thank you for being part of the Lakeside Vibe family. Grab your favorite boat drink, crank the volume, and let’s keep the good times rolling.

Cheers to Us!
